The C8 is the third in the Nimbus Commuter series following the latest C9 and C11 models. The C8 is a purpose-built, rapid commuter vessel, constructed to equally meet the needs of year-round commuters, active day-trippers or those planning shorter, staged journeys with overnight stays.


The Ultimate Commuter

Like its siblings the C8 has a wide walk-around design which contributes to extra freedom and makes it easy to move around onboard.

Thanks to its easy-to-use, functional and agile design, it is the perfect choice for those who want to use their boat daily, regardless of the weather. In C8, priority is given to space, surfaces and functionality that provide the best possible moveability and a feeling of freedom on board. The result is easily accessible storage spaces, wide walkways, large sliding doors and wide passages.


C8 is a flexible and comfortable year-round commuter that works just as well whether you are traveling alone or with company. Despite the smaller size, we have prioritised space that makes it easy to get on or off and move onboard. The trick with the C8 was to build in the same high level of functionality and flexibility as the C9 but in a smaller hull, says Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB


Light and Spacious


The foredeck of the boat offers a multi functional space with seating that can be transformed into lounge, chill or drive mode depending on the situation. The light and spacious cockpit offers plenty of natural light thanks to its extra large glass doors, the sliding glass roof hatch and the openable aft deck hatch. The boat can easily be transformed from closed to open within seconds. In addition to creating a light and open boat, the large aft glass hatch makes loading and unloading the boat easy and efficient plus it makes communication between the crew outside and inside smoother.


The aft deck has space enough for up to 4–5 people to sit. On the benches on the sides and on the foldable aft sofa. Thanks to the foldable aft sofa, the aft deck can be purposefully adapted as needed: seating for socialising, loading place for luggage or space for activities like fishing or swimming.


When out driving, Nimbus C8 offers comfortable seating for both the driver and its passengers. The swivelling cockpit chairs can easily be turned towards the passenger sofa and the table extended to a full dinner table. The passenger sofa can be converted to an extra bed for two children or one adult. The fore cabin has room for a double bed with a separate head and a kitchenette. The top of the cockpit is equipped with integrated loading arches, which helps transporting larger items such as SUP, kayak or surfboards etc.

Inspirado en nuestro 40’ flybridge, una embarcación que ganó lospremios “Yate del Año” y “Crucero del Año” de la revista ‘Modern Boating’, Riviera se propuso diseñar una embarcación ligeramentemás pequeña y económica, pero que sigue reteniendo todas las valiosas e inteligentes características de diseño del 40’.


El resultado: el Riviera 37. ¡Es sobresaliente!


Primero considere la integridad de su construcción: un sólidocasco de fibra de vidrio extendido a mano y un sistema de refuerzos que inspira absoluta confianza aún en los mares más embravecidos. Y esas elegantes líneas no solamente se ven sensacionales sino que brindan el más suave y ágil de los andares. While keeping a family resemblance and retaining the main features of the latest generation of Lagoons, it shows us a new path: unhurried evolution, a new « organic » approach, in search of harmony between living space and man.

The mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, a guarantee of performance under sail and ease of handling, provide the ability to bring all operations together in one place.

An ergonomic helming station at the coachroof bulkhead, offering many advantages:

  • improved circulation, forward and aft of the helming station,

  • direct access to the coachroof for easier access to the boom,

« Nuestra idea era diseñar un barco con una vista incomparable hacia el esplendor del mar, prestando toda nuestra atención a anticipar la circulación a bordo, proporcionando un espacio generoso y permitiendo a los que están a bordo encontrar su propio rincón favorito. Por experiencia, sabemos que la gente rechaza los diseños que no tienen en cuenta lo humano.


Por eso queríamos diseñar un barco de gran belleza que sea inmediatamente identificable como un Lagoon.  »


UNA AUTÉNTICA TERRAZA SOBRE EL MAR


« Los faldones están realmente trabajados para que sean lugares privilegiados, a ras del agua. Uno se imagina fuera del barco, atento al chapoteo del agua, con un buen libro… »


El nuevo concepto de acceso a bordo y circulación ofrece una sensación novedosa. Los faldones de popa ya no son sólo un espacio de circulación, sino un verdadero lugar de vida durante el fondeo, para cocinar al aire libre o simplemente soñar a ras del agua…


Como en todas nuestras colaboraciones, Nauta Design ha trabajado en asociación con Lagoon para diseñar el interior del Lagoon 55. El objetivo principal del astillero era proporcionar una alta calidad de vida a bordo: espacios luminosos y elegantes, así como un ambiente sereno y armonioso, directamente inspirado en los yates Lagoon. Sintonizábamos con este objetivo. Hemos trabajado con Patrick le Quément, para ofrecer nuevas perspectivas, y abrir el interior a las fuentes de luz natural utilizando líneas horizontales, para disfrutar de la continuidad con el paisaje marino y el horizonte. El campo visual se libera para que los huéspedes puedan disfrutar del mar, el cielo, el sol y la belleza del entorno.
