Distribution. lay-out
The interiors of the Audax 47 are unique and ambitious, due the elegance of wood. Designed with the blue waters ship objectives, living on her the hole year. The three double cabins, the L shape galley, the living room and the two heads, have got huge dimentions. Also the lockers, armchairs and closets sizes. Special care has been taken in the choice of woods, upholsteries, and vinyl flooring.

Bow double cabin, with a lot of closets and shoe rack. Double cabin in starboard bow corridor, with lots of closets and shoe rack. Bow bathroom with separate shower. Starboard saloon with U-shaped sofa and stowage area. Interior helm station. L shape port side galley. Access to aft cabin through galley. Aft owner’s cabin with en-suite bathroom and separate shower, with huge wardrobes. Aft Workshop room with mechanical bench and washing machine. Aft locker access.

On the central area, the L-shaped galley is well-equipped with a hob and oven, extractor fan, fridge, separate freezer, and a two-bowl sink. On starboard side is the U-shaped lounge for 8 people equipped with TV and bookcase, the table with bottle rack has two foldable wings that facilitate mobility around. In the center of the two pieces is the interior steering position with all electronics displays, and its mahogany wheel with hydraulic system. This cabin enjoys 270º views to the outside through the 10 panoramic rounded portholes that also give a lot of light.

The engine and tanks are on centerboard, under the living room and galley. Towards the bow on the port side the bathroom with shower, on the starboard side a double cabin. Continuing the corridor we find the main cabin of enormous dimensions and head. All cabins and rooms are well ventilated through large hatches. For winter all rooms have heating, in summer it can be reversed.

The C8 is the third in the Nimbus Commuter series following the latest C9 and C11 models. The C8 is a purpose-built, rapid commuter vessel, constructed to equally meet the needs of year-round commuters, active day-trippers or those planning shorter, staged journeys with overnight stays.

Like its siblings the C8 has a wide walk-around design which contributes to extra freedom and makes it easy to move around onboard.
Thanks to its easy-to-use, functional and agile design, it is the perfect choice for those who want to use their boat daily, regardless of the weather. In C8, priority is given to space, surfaces and functionality that provide the best possible moveability and a feeling of freedom on board. The result is easily accessible storage spaces, wide walkways, large sliding doors and wide passages.

C8 is a flexible and comfortable year-round commuter that works just as well whether you are traveling alone or with company. Despite the smaller size, we have prioritised space that makes it easy to get on or off and move onboard. Light and Spacious

The foredeck of the boat offers a multi functional space with seating that can be transformed into lounge, chill or drive mode depending on the situation. The light and spacious cockpit offers plenty of natural light thanks to its extra large glass doors, the sliding glass roof hatch and the openable aft deck hatch. The boat can easily be transformed from closed to open within seconds. In addition to creating a light and open boat, the large aft glass hatch makes loading and unloading the boat easy and efficient plus it makes communication between the crew outside and inside smoother.

The aft deck has space enough for up to 4–5 people to sit. On the benches on the sides and on the foldable aft sofa. Thanks to the foldable aft sofa, the aft deck can be purposefully adapted as needed: seating for socialising, loading place for luggage or space for activities like fishing or swimming.

When out driving, Nimbus C8 offers comfortable seating for both the driver and its passengers. The swivelling cockpit chairs can easily be turned towards the passenger sofa and the table extended to a full dinner table. The passenger sofa can be converted to an extra bed for two children or one adult. The fore cabin has room for a double bed with a separate head and a kitchenette. The top of the cockpit is equipped with integrated loading arches, which helps transporting larger items such as SUP, kayak or surfboards etc.

Nicely molded skid-resistant deck surfaces meld into gleaming, high-quality gelcoat everywhere. This boat was designed and built to maintain its appearance and its integrity for many years to come.
The hull is all hand-laid fibreglass with a solid keel and chines. There is a watertight collision bulkhead in the bow and a weight-conscious foam or balsa-cored superstructure for improved stability.

An ingenious deck layout:
The mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, a guarantee of performance under sail and ease of handling, provide the ability to bring all operations together in one place.
An ergonomic helming station at the coachroof bulkhead, offering many advantages:

direct communication between the cockpit and saloon,
improved circulation, forward and aft of the helming station,
direct access to the coachroof for easier access to the boom,
a composite bimini with a sliding panel to ensure a good view of the sails,
a closure panel for helming station safety when under way.

A cosy cockpit, with smooth, elegant curves:

a single level from the aft platform to the saloon: a structural “revolution”,
entirely new ergonomics that ensure excellent use of space and ease of circulation on board,
a large glazed door that occupies the entire width of the coachroof, and provides access to the unparalleled internal volumes.
The suspended steps at the transom provide a whole new perception of the boat: a continuous, wide and inviting platform, worthy of a large vessel.

The influence of the organic architecture resonates in the interior volumes.
Attractive moulded wood emphasises the smooth curves of the interior furnishings, designed with care by Nauta.
Once again, the Italian design firm combines elegance and functionality, and offers us two versions of this new model:

very large windows in the cabins offer excellent illumination and magnificent views of the surroundings,
the vertical glazing in the coachroof provides saloon illumination: a well-lit, comfortable environment that is perfectly balanced between the galley and saloon areas,
the U-shaped galley, fully fitted with broad work surfaces and extensive storage space, is oriented towards the external cockpit.

The attention devoted to detail and the use of the volumes make this new interior a unique and enjoyable living space.

Rig: performance and ease of use

The mast being moved further aft offers many advantages on a cruising catamaran:

a larger foretriangle for a greater choice of downwind sails,
a shorter boom for ease of manoeuvring,

“Nuestra idea era diseñar un barco con una vista incomparable hacia el esplendor del mar, prestando toda nuestra atención a anticipar la circulación a bordo, proporcionando un espacio generoso y permitiendo a los que están a bordo encontrar su propio rincón favorito. Por experiencia, sabemos que la gente rechaza los diseños que no tienen en cuenta lo humano.

Por eso queríamos diseñar un barco de gran belleza que sea inmediatamente identificable como un Lagoon. ”

UNA AUTÉNTICA TERRAZA SOBRE EL MAR

“Los faldones están realmente trabajados para que sean lugares privilegiados, a ras del agua. Uno se imagina fuera del barco, atento al chapoteo del agua, con un buen libro…”

El nuevo concepto de acceso a bordo y circulación ofrece una sensación novedosa. Los faldones de popa ya no son sólo un espacio de circulación, sino un verdadero lugar de vida durante el fondeo, para cocinar al aire libre o simplemente soñar a ras del agua…

Como en todas nuestras colaboraciones, Nauta Design ha trabajado en asociación con Lagoon para diseñar el interior del Lagoon 55. El objetivo principal del astillero era proporcionar una alta calidad de vida a bordo: espacios luminosos y elegantes, así como un ambiente sereno y armonioso, directamente inspirado en los yates Lagoon. Sintonizábamos con este objetivo. Hemos trabajado con Patrick le Quément, para ofrecer nuevas perspectivas, y abrir el interior a las fuentes de luz natural utilizando líneas horizontales, para disfrutar de la continuidad con el paisaje marino y el horizonte. El campo visual se libera para que los huéspedes puedan disfrutar del mar, el cielo, el sol y la belleza del entorno.

UN ACRISTALAMIENTO CENITAL PARA UNA VISIÓN DIRECTA DEL CIELO ESTRELLADO
